Mrs. Williams' Wiki Page!

ˇBienvenidos a todos! Welcome to everyone, students, teachers, family and friends. Follow my trip to Costa Rica at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/51333850@N02

For those of you who do not know, I am one of 26 teachers chosen by the Toyota International Teacher program to study the diverse eco-systems of Costa Rica. As a Spanish teacher I have read a lot about Costa Rica and am eager to engage in this wonderful experience, visiting the rainforests, volcanos, self-sustainable farms and more and am especially excited to engage in conversation with the people I meet there. Through this wiki, you will be able to travel there with me, comment on what you see (my photos and videos) and ask questions you may have. Are you ready for the chance of a lifetime? I am.

This wiki is part of a larger project, "A Tale of Two Forests: What Do We Have in Common?," begun in my Spanish classes. However, I'd like to extend the opportunity to you all. As you follow our journey, you will see both similatiries and differences between West Virginia and Costa Rica. you should begin thinking about projects that we can put into practice in our own area. Mr. Giles and I have already begun planning for a clean-up at Dogway Run and planting trees. If you had either of us in the past, you are welcome to join in the activities of our Rainforest Club to help find solutions to the environmental issues we face in our area. Together we can make a difference.
